Alexia Jones, founder and executive director of Rise 2 Theater, recently came to Boston from Atlanta for an international conference on issues of addiction and recovery.
Along with Adria Kitchens, executive director of One Small Change and Dr. Dietra Hawkins, Alexia presented the ground-breaking work of Rise 2 Theatre in using dance, theatre, and the arts to support those in recovery. They were welcomed by Fred Mandell, Chairman of the Board, at TGIAL and his wife Karen. As an expression of their appreciation for the support TGIAL has provided to Rise 2 Theatre, Alexia presented Fred and Karen with newly minted Rise T-shirts.
